June 21, 1: Jack Baumeister recently finished first in the high school division of the Ohio Stock Market Challenge. Jack Baumeister, a year-old Strongsville resident and junior at Lutheran West High School, recently won the Ohio Stock Market Challenge.

Baumeister came in first place in the high school level competition for the first semester. In total, approximately students participate in the three levels of elementary, middle and high school students across the state.

The spring semester competition has recently started and will conclude on April Baumeister enjoys managing his own stock account and has had similar success with it.

He has found local financial managers who are willing to host him for a shadowing day in their places of business. He hopes to become a stock analyst after college. Baumeister also has recently incorporated a marketing business, Advance in Motion, and is in the process of finding advertisers. The competition is sponsored by the Ohio Centers for Economic Education and Financial Literacy, with Ashland University being the center for Northeast Ohio.
